The Wii U is Coming

During a Wii U event this morning, Nintendo finally gave the public the answers to the two most common questions regarding the Wii U, “How much will it cost?”, and “Just when will the system come out?”.

Nintendo announced two Wii U bundles, both coming out in North America on Sunday, November 18, 2012…just 66 days from now.

The first Wii U bundle, “The Basic Set”, includes a white Wii U system, white Wii U GamePad, 8GB of memory, HDMI cable, Wii U sensor bar, and AC adapter.  The Basic Set will cost $299.99.

The second Wii U bundle, “The Deluxe Set”, includes a black Wii U system, black Wii U GamePad, 32GB of memory, HDMI cable, Wii U sensor bar, GamePad charging cradle, GamePad stand, Wii U console stand, AC adapter, and a copy of the Wii U launch game Nintendo Land.  The Deluxe set will cost $349.99.

As of today, does not have either Wii U bundle available to pre-order on their website.

An interesting tidbit to note, the Wii U will launch in North America (November 18) before it launches in Japan (December 8).

  1. Awesome post, man! Are you going to be snagging one up? Also, is the Wii U just going to be treated as your typical handheld console or is it the next gen Nintendo system? I still don’t know a whole lot about the Wii U, as you can tell.

  2. The Wii U is the next generation console from Nintendo. I will do an opinion article closer to launch day that discusses the system’s value and give an update on my overall interest/thoughts of the system. Basically I do not know yet if I want one or not.

  3. You’ve been pinned Mr. WViking! Add this puppy to the top Christmas gifts for 2012, folks…

  4. Glad to be here!
