Apple rumors are a plenty right now.
Hey everyone, Steven here from The Trend Guys…
Rumor has it that Apple is possibly working on curved iPhone screens and some sort of enhanced sensors that will be able to detect pressure that users are placing on the screen.
As of right now, rumors state that Apple is working on two new models of iPhone. One model will come with a 4.7-inch screen, while the other will be 5.5-inches. However, they will both come with glass screens that are curved downward around the edges.
Bloomberg has reported this bit of news and they reported that it came from an anonymous source that is familiar with currently Apple happenings.
It looks like Apple is trying to pump out a larger iPhone, so they will be able to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Note series, which is currently in its third generation and features a 5.7-inch screen.
When will these new iPhones be released?
I’m sure you could easily guess when the release date is, but to make things easier on you, the source is saying that the curved glass iPhones are slated to hit the market in the third quarter of next year.
However, the pressure-sensitive technology mentioned above won’t be ready by the third quarter of next year, so don’t get your hopes up for that one. You’ll be waiting for a while.
Curved glass is currently trending when it comes to smart phones. Samsung released the Galaxy Round which comes with a 5.7-inch curved displayed and LG plans on releasing the G Flex phone, which will be curved, as well.
As of right now, all of this news is just rumors, as Apple has yet to confirm anything.
