CW Possibly Adapting ‘The Notebook,’ Into A Television Series

Hey everyone, Steven here from The Trend Guys and I’m bringing you one of the hottest trending topics of today.

The CW seems to be unstoppable when it comes to pumping out hit-after-hit, as they currently feature shows like Supernatural, Smallville, Arrow, iZombie, The Flash, etc… However, there’s always room for more successful television shows in their lineup, and it looks like they have their next potential hit lined up — Nicholas Sparks‘ ‘The Notebook.’

The Notebook, which was released back in 2004, was an adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel of the same name, and is the epitome of what’s known as a ‘chick flick.’ The story chronicles the lives of Noah, played by Ryan Gosling, and Allie, played by Rachel McAdams, through-out the years, as they battle things such as illness, war, disapproving parents, separation, etc…

If there’s one complaint fans of this movie have, it’s that they want to know more about their beloved characters. After all, you can only chronicle so much of two character’s lives in a 2-hour runtime. Lucky for these fans of the show, CW has stated that they’re going to focus on Allie and Noah’s lives and how they tried to build a future in rural North Carolina together once reconnecting after the war.

If the CW decides to go-ahead with The Notebook television series, it will be produced by Nicholas Sparks and penned by Todd Graff (Death of Smoochy, The Abyss).
