There was a slew of rumors going around that Farrah Abraham was pregnant.

Apparently, Farrah was worried that she could have been pregnant after filming the sex tape with James Deen. She says that she wasn’t on birth control and that James Deen didn’t wear a condom.

Yes, Farrah Abraham was spotted buying a pregnancy test at a pharmacy, but it was all for a talk show entitled “The Test.”

Yeah, they’ll televise anything these days. Hell, I thought we already a show for that and it’s called Maury.

Farrah admitted to the host of the show that she didn’t even take the test that she purchased.

Can you picture Jake the Snake Roberts as an actor?

Jake the Snake Roberts has been down and out for decades. Unfortunately, the man has struggled with both alcohol and drugs. However, Jake the Snake Roberts has now been sober for 180 days. Now that he’s sober he wants to get into acting.

Jake the Snake has started taking acting classes this week. As of right now, he hasn’t locked down any roles, but he has been offered a role in an indie flick.  After Jake feels comfortable with his acting skills, he’s going to become a media whore. He wants to be on television, movies, commercials, etc…

How did Jake the Snake finally get sober?

Unfortunately, at a point in time, it looked like all hope was lost for Jake the Snake. However, Diamond Dallas Page, a former wrestler himself, decided to help Jake Roberts out. Diamond Dallas Page allowed Jake Roberts to come stay with him at his house in Atlanta and help him kick the habit.

Diamond Dallas Page has also been helping out former wrestler, Scott Hall, kick the habit, as well. DDP is a pretty bad ass guy, in my book.

No Adderall = A Healthier Lindsay Lohan

In just a week’s time, Lindsay Lohan has been able to gain five pounds since she has been in rehab.

Lindsay is attending rehab at the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California.

Lindsay Lohan was taken off of Adderall, which is why she was able to gain some weight. Adderall is prescribed for ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), but the doctors at Betty Ford felt that Lindsay Lohan didn’t need the drug anymore. Since being taken off of the medication, Lindsay has started to eat more.

Gaining weight is a good thing.

If you’re Lindsay Lohan, that is. Often times, people are prescribed Adderall and they end up abusing the medication, which is very easy to do. It gives you more energy, you’re much more focused and it can cause you to lose weight, because you simply do not want to eat while taking it.

As of right now, no one knows if Lindsay has been put on a different medication to take the place of Adderall. However, Adderall is one of the medications that Lindsay Lohan said she would not do without if she was going to attend rehab. I guess she realized that she can’t get her way all the time.

No leaving this rehab until you finish your dinner, Lindsay.

Zombieland series is over before it began.

I announced a few weeks ago that Amazon was starting up a Zombieland series and you could watch the pilot episode for free on Amazon.

After the pilot debuted on Amazon, a lot of viewers and critics had something to say about the film and most of it was very negative. Die hard fans of the Zombieland movie were pissed off to say the least. After the negative reviews and comments started pouring in, Amazon has decided that they are not going to continue with the series.

The pilot was initially released to gauge whether or not there would be interest in a Zombieland series. Amazon got their answer, but it’s not the one that they were hoping for. One of the producers and co-writers for the film has went to Twitter and posted the following message:

Our Zombieland series will not be moving forward on Amazon. Sad for everyone involved. I’ll never understand the vehement hate the pilot received from die-hard Zombieland fans. You guys successfully hated it out of existence. Anyway, we did our best, and we’re very proud of our team. – Rhett Reese, Executive Producer and Co-Writer for Zombieland the series.

The pilot episode can still be seen on Amazon, but don’t ever expect to see anything more than a pilot episode for this dead series.

Life just got bad ass if you live in Southern California

Taco Bell is testing out a waffle taco in at least one Taco Bell in the Southern California area.

A user on Instagram posted up a picture of the fabled waffle taco as she was visiting a Taco Bell in Santa Ana in an attempt to prove that the waffle taco does actually exist. She also posted a message saying “it was awesome!”

Waffle Taco ingredients:

• Sausage
• Scrambled eggs
• A waffle as a taco shell
• Syrup packet on the side

We are testing the waffle taco in a handful of Southern California restaurants. We’re pleased with the initial reaction from our customers and if the waffle taco does well in testing, we’ll roll it out to all our restaurants that serve breakfast. – Taco Bell rep

Taco Bell has started to serve breakfast in certain locations as of last year.

Friday the 13th video game figure to be released from NECA

This is completely bad ass and I WANT ONE!

NECA has just announced that they are releasing a new Jason Voorhees figure, but this one is going to be different from all the other figures out there. This Jason Voorhees figure is based off of the Jason Voorhees video game character from the Friday The 13th video game released in 1989.

I used to play this game all the time when I was a kid. Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly a good game, but I loved horror movies, including Friday the 13th, so I played the hell out of it. I remember when Jason would appear in the game it would scare me, so I had an awesome time. I always wondered why Jason Voorhees was dressed in purple, though…

New Jason Voorhees figure will be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive

DAMMIT! Unfortunately, I live on the opposite side of the United States or else I would be all over this figure. I love collecting horror figures and have a whole section of my collection dedicated to Jason Voorhees. I would be proud to include this one in my collection.

The figure is going to measure in at 7-inches and certain parts of the figure will glow in the dark. The figure is going to come in a special packaging, which will make it feel as if it’s a scene directly from the Friday the 13th video game.

If someone is going to the San Diego Comic Con and picks this up for me, you will officially be on my “Most Bad Ass People Ever Alive” list…. Just sayin’.

In my 20+ years of training, studying strength & conditioning, and designing workouts, there’s one question I’ve been asked probably more than anything:

“I want to *insert goal here*. What sort of workout should I do?”

Chances are you’ve asked that question, too. And more than once. Well I’m finally gonna answer that question for you…once and for all.

You should be doing an MMA workout. (aka – the kinda gym workout a fighter would do)

Now before I get into “why”, there are two major caveats that I have to throw out there…two situations in which a fighter workout wouldn’t actually be the best idea.

First would be if you have some sort of pre-existing health condition, chronic physical problems, injuries, or anything else. In other words, if there’s any remote medical reason why your doctor would put the nix on an MMA workout, then…well…that’s probably good advice you should follow.

Second, if you have some specific physical sport, goal, activity or event you’re training for that an MMA workout would not be suited for, then do the kinda work that *would* be suited for it. If you’re looking to enter a bodybuilding show, then do a bodybuilding workout. If you’re a powerlifter, then do a powerlifting workout. If you play American Football, then you should do a workout for that.

You get the idea.

Otherwise, an MMA workout is almost sure to help you accomplish any and all goals you want to achieve.

(TIP – If you have some sort of specific activity you’re training for – say a Tough Mudder race – and you’re not sure if an MMA workout would be the way to go, head over to the WorkingClassFitness section of the Forums and ask. I’ll answer your questions personally.)

Now that we have THAT out of the way, let’s take a look at why you should be hitting the gym like a fighter.

Reason #1 – Kickass Cardio

I probably don’t have to tell you why you should want better cardio. Fact of the matter is that everyone needs better cardio. Everyone. EVERYONE.

Improved cardio can help you in everyday life like making sure you can play a pickup game of basketball, go on a walk with your girlfriend, or just carry in the groceries without sucking wind. Having a strong heart and lungs will not only make you more healthy, but prolong your life and greatly reduce risk of heart disease, cardiovascular disease, and a bunch of other nasty crap you don’t wanna associate with. (No matter what your age.)

There are also a myriad of indirect benefits that increased cardio can give you. For instance – if you have better cardio, your heart and lungs are more efficient. When your heart is more efficient, it can pump blood through the body more easily, more quickly, and with less effort. When you work out, this improved ability to pump blood through the body can carry additional oxygen and nutrients to the muscles to not only improve endurance, but help facilitate recovery and growth.

In other words, having better cardio can improve upon your strength training and muscle building efforts.

I could go on for a while…but I’m sure you’re getting the point.

Oh, and if you’re wondering if a fighter’s cardio really is that good in the first place…try this:

Stand up, and shadowbox for 90 seconds straight. I don’t care if you don’t know what you’re doing. Just stand up away from your computer or put your phone down. Throw punches like a madman for the next 1.5 minutes.

Go head. I’ll wait.

Done yet? You huffing and puffing? Harder than it looks, huh?

If the right kinda workout can make that easier…wouldn’t it make the rest of your life easier?

Yes. Yes it would.

Reason #2 – Strong as an Ox

This is another one I shouldn’t have to explain. You ever see the old Charles Atlas ad? You know – the one with the skinny kid getting sand kicked in his face?

This wasn’t just because he didn’t muscles. This was because he was a weakling.

Being a weakling sucks. And anyone that says they don’t want to be strong (as least on some level) is lying to you.

You don’t have to bench press a truck, but if you can’t crank out a few pushups, then you’ve got changes to make.

Fighters are as strong as they come. A lot of what they pull off in the cage is defnitely based on technique. But I’ll take strength + technique over technique by itself anyday.

You should, too.

Reason #3 – Look Like a Badass

Muscles from built from strength training + lower bodyfat levels from the right kind of cardio (plus a decent diet) = a lean, muscular, and badass physique that not only makes you proud to take your shirt off at the beach, but makes the women drool when you do.

Your girlfriend isn’t a GSP fan because of how he fights.

Trust me…if you think your girlfriend likes watching GSP fight because he’s a good fighter, she’s lying to you.

(Even if you don’t want to admit it.)

Strength. Speed and explosive power. Never ending cardio. The ability to outwork anyone you know. Low bodyfat and six-pack abs. Thick shoulders, muscular arms, and six-pack abs.

The right kinda fighter workout will help you do all that. And more.

Next time, I’ll get into a couple things that you should be avoiding when it comes to an MMA workout. There’s a ton of crap out there, but I’ll make sure you steer clear of it.

Wrestling isn’t completely staged all the time…

TNA has handed down a fine to one of the wrestlers on their roster, Austin Aries. This fine comes a week after he put his crotch in the face of female ring announcer, Christy Hemme.

When Austin Aries was coming out to the ring, Christy Hemme called Austin Aries by the wrong name and he didn’t appear to be too happy about the mistake. During the event, Christy Hemme wasn’t very happy, to say the least. After the event was over, Hemme took to Twitter and said that the incident was “unacceptable.”

Later, Austin Aries went to Twitter tweeted out this (very sarcastic) message:

Pretty nuts, some of the junk people get the balls to say over the net, knowing they couldn’t to your face…Eh, anyway, time to sack out. – Austin Aries

Since then, Aries has spoken in private with Christy Hemme and he did apologize to her for his actions at the event. Christy Hemme accepted his apology and told TNA that she was satisfied with the apology.

However, Austin Aries isn’t off the hook.

TNA did take action against Aries and have fined him for his behavior.

All work and no Hannibal makes Steven a dull boy…

NBC is currently in discussions as to whether or not they will be making a second season of Hannibal. Apparently, the show is extremely expensive to make. Despite this news, there are other networks out there, including Amazon, that is eagerly awaiting NBC to make a decision.

Apparently, if NBC doesn’t renew the series, another network, like Amazon, may decide to pick it up.

Hannibal started off very strong and a second season would be a no-brainer. However, as the series continues, the numbers started to decline. Now, a second season is the topic of discussion at NBC.

I’m going to be pissed if I don’t get my Hannibal

You know, there’s not many shows I truly enjoy watching on television. Hannibal, American Horror Story and Vikings are at the top of my list.

Hannibal is a bad ass show, in my book. Every episode surprises me, there’s plenty of gore and there’s never a lack of action.

I guess no one wants to actually put money into making a good product and would rather cut the budget in half and pump out a mediocre product. Hell, we all saw what happened to The Walking Dead after the budget got cut in half. The whole second season of the show took place on a farm. The whole third season of the show took place in a prison….sigh.

Either way, let’s hope that NBC decides to continue with Hannibal.
