Xbox 720 Possibly Coming With an Eight-Core CPU, Windows 8 and 8 Gigs of Ram
So, new information has been leaked about the Xbox 720 and this time it comes from a credible source. It’s still considered a rumor right now, but it sounds like this could be some legit information.
An ex-Ubisoft employee has been making some posts on message boards and the dude seems to know everything there is to know about the Xbox 720. Well, everything that really matters, any ways. This dude says he knows the ram, the kernel and a slew of other stuff about the Xbox 720.
Xbox 720 Specs (according to this leaked information) Below:
- Eight-Core CPU
- 8 GB Ram
- 8800 Series GPU
- Windows 8 Kernel
- 640 GB Hard Drive
Now, there have been earlier reports online that the Xbox 720 would be running an AMD HD 8000M graphics card, so at least this coincides with the leaked information. Also, you can bet your ass that the Xbox 720 will come with Windows 8, because they’re pushing the hell out of that Operating System. Even though Windows 8 is absolutely horrible if you’re an actual PC user, I can definitely see it working for the Xbox 720.
As I said above, none of this information is confirmed just yet. Therefore, take all of this info with a grain of salt. However, you have to keep in mind that insiders will leak information from time-to-time and for a lot of different reasons. So, this guy could definitely be legit. I guess if you’re waiting for the official word on things, you’re just going to have to wait for Microsoft to debut the 720 at E3 2013.

I thought it’s under the project name “Durango”?
Not 720
It is, but it’s also more well-known as the 720, so most people are calling it that.
Yes, it has been being called the 720 and Revolution for a couple years now so I’m sure more people look for those names than Durango as I haven’t personally even heard it called that yet but that’s just me.
